Lakenvaas Cloth vase Grey | Cor Unum

Simone Post's goal with Cor Unum's Lakenvaas or Cloth Vase was to impart the tactility and mobility of fabric to ceramics,
a hard and static material. The basis for this design was the perfection of a later ironed tablecloth which hangs folded over a table.

Folding and deforming the vase by hand after pouring creates shapes that are mass-produced
and would never be obtainable from a mold alone. The makers of Cor Unum give it their own twist,
for example, each Cloth Vase is unique and the ceramics acquire the mobility of a fluttering cloth.
This vase is made by hand, each product is unique, also in color. There may be irregularities such as pinholes or small deformations.

The vase is of course beautiful with flowers or branches, but you can also invert a Lakenvaas and use it as a pedestal.
The dimensions of the vase are height 36 × 31 cm.
