Børge Mogensen conceived the BM45701 Dining Chair in the late 1960s, as a part of his Deck Chair Series of functional outdoor furniture. The chair’s simple, slatted lines and solid teak construction provide durable functionality in a range of outdoor spaces. Fitted with a suspended seat in weather resistant Sunbrella fabric, it folds neatly away when not in use – and can be hung on the corresponding wall mount.
Comes in untreated, FSC®-certified teak.

Characterised by clarity of both design and function, Børge Mogensen’s Deck Chair isn’t just a piece to be merely admired from a distance: the FSC®-certified teak design invites us to sit down and relax in the great outdoors thanks to wooden slats shaped to follow the natural curves of the body.

Like all of Børge Mogensen’s furniture designs, the BM Graden Chair combines functional strength with natural materials and a timeless aesthetic. Carefully crafted details nod to the designer’s background as a cabinetmaker and draw clear stylistic references to the American Shakers and 19th Century English furniture design.

The Borge Mogensen Outdoor series from Carl Hansen consists of the bench, lounge chair, side table, dining table and dining chairs and also a footstool and tray.

Børge Mogensen’s creative process produced long-lasting pieces with humans at the center. He became a highly-influential, post-war designer and a leading representative of Danish Modern.

Mogensen’s democratic design included simple and functional wooden furniture for both private and public spaces, with calm aesthetics and strong construction from quality. He believed in visual clarity and minimal decoration.
