With its expressive silhouette and eye-catching details, the Beak Chair, OW124, exemplifies Ole Wanscher's
commitment to continually experimenting with design.
Wanscher's sense for subtle detailing is also expressed in the discreet cover caps on the side of the armrests, reminiscent of a bird's eye.
The lounge chair's soft, curved elements seamlessly join one another in a light, organic flow.

History of the OW124
The Beak chair is an expressive, sculptural lounge chair and gets its name from the distinctive armrests,
which seem to shoot out from the main frame.
It is also an exquisite example of the relationship between material and form;
soft curved elements that seamlessly join together and flow to all directions.
Ole Wanscher's Beak Chair, designed in 1951, represents his outstanding sense of craftsmanship and design.
He was one of the leading figures in the Scandinavian Design movement (a part of Mid-Century Modernism),
at a time when Scandinavian Design achieved worldwide popularity.
At North Sea Design all wood and leather samples for the OW124 Beak Chair are on display,
