Fredericia Søborg Metal Chair with upholstery

Søborg upholstered Chair | Fredericia

The Søborg chair, designed by Børge Mogensen in 1952, is a comfortable chair with a generous seat and backrest, upholstered in a beautiful, finer upholstery of your choice.
The chair with a veneer seat and backrest has the screws neatly concealed behind plates in a contrasting wood colour.
Børge Mogensen took the needs of people living underground into account by designing this chair with a comfortable, wide seat and a seat height 1.5 to 3.5 cm higher than what
was usual at the time. This met the needs of people who are growing taller.
The chair has been in production since 1952 and is one of Børge Mogensen's rare steel designs. A pleasant side effect of this is that the backrest flexes slightly.
The Søborg chair consists of parts that can be replaced if necessary.

At North Sea Design, you will find various options for combining the Søborg chair with a matching table.

Materials |
The Søborg chair comes with a black lacquered or chrome-plated frame. This chair is also available with a wooden frame. See the related products

The seat and backrest are made of walnut or oak veneer or are upholstered in various fabrics or leathers. You can buy the Søborg chair with upholstery online using
SheWorks fabric. This "zero-waste" fabric is made from residual materials from the Danish textile industry by talented women from refugee areas. In our store, we're happy
to inform you about other upholstery options.
