AJ Floor Lamp Steel | Louis Poulsen

The iconic AJ floor lamp by Louis Poulsen is a design by the well-known Danish architect Arne Jacobsen in 1957 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen.
In 2020, Louis Poulsen launched the polished steel AJ lamp series. The Arne Jacobsen lighting series at Louis Poulsen consists of the table lamp, the mini table lamp, the wall lamp and the AJ floor lamp.
The standing AJ lamp is a functional "down-lighter", the light from the asymmetrical and tiltable shade is mainly spread downwards.
This makes the floor lamp ideal for reading or working on the laptop in your chair or on the couch.
The angle of the shade can be adjusted to optimize light distribution. This gives you the opportunity, for example when you have visitors,

When the lampshade is tilted down, the bottom edge is horizontal.
The screen is enamelled in white on the inside, which creates a pleasant, soft light.
The shielding is very effective, so that one cannot look up into the light source.
With a bright light bulb, the light is optimally used and the light beams are accurately demarcated.
The AJ floor lamp in polished stainless steel comes with a black cable.
