The PH 2/1 table lamp is designed on the principle of a reflecting multi-shade system, creating harmonious
and glare-free lighting.
The members of the PH glass family include the PH2/1 table lamp with white opal glass and a high lustre chrome, brass or black metallised frame.
The black metallised industrial look results in an eye-catching, understated look.
The mouth-blown white opal glass shades soften the lamp's overall look and produce perfect,
harmonious and glare-free lighting, as only the classic three-shade system can do.

Poul Henningsen's three-shade system is designed to shape light more than any other.
This was at the very core when Poul Henningsen designed the three-shade system in 1925, such that the shade angles
conceal the light source from view.
Poul Henningsen was born in Copenhagen in 1894. He began studying architecture but did not complete this.
He next studied at Copenhagen Technical College from 1911-1914, and then for three years at the Technical University in Copenhagen.
For a short period he was the head architect of the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen.
His lifelong collaboration with Louis Poulsen began in 1925 and lasted until his death.
To this day, Louis Poulsen still benefits from his genius
