CH101 Armchair | Carl Hansen & Son

An elegant, luxurious armchair designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1970 and relaunched in 2008 in honor of the 100th anniversary of Carl Hansen & Son.
The armchair has a simple, cubist design that has retained its contemporary look over the years.
The CH101 armchair is handmade and comes from a series of four seating furniture with a two-seater sofa, a three-seater sofa and even a sofa with
four seats.
The cushions are fully upholstered and reversible. They are wonderfully comfortable and because of the composition of materials they remain resilient.

Materials |
The leather of the armchair and sofas is stitched over a beech wood frame.
The visible frame, legs and front of the armrests are made of hand-polished stainless steel.
The cushions are filled with cold foam that is surrounded by a mixture of European down and foam granulate.
This method offers great durability, making the chair ideal for use in public areas.
There are three qualities of leather available in various colors: Loke, protected leather, Thor, semi aniline leather and Sif, full aniline leather.

Hans Wegner Danish Design

This chair is beautiful on its own or in combination with the CH102, CH103 and CH104 sofa's and the CH106 and CH108 tables that all come from
the same series.
The CH101 was designed by Hans J. Wegner, and produced in a limited edition by Carl Hansen, in 1970 as part of a complete
range of office furniture, including conference chairs and armchairs, desks, conference tables and coffee tables and sofas.
Hans J. Wegner is widely regarded as one of the leading figures in 20th century interior design -
and a driving force in the "Danish Modern" movement that changed the view of furniture in the 1950s and 1960s.
