The iconic J39 chair by Fredericia, designed by Børge Mogensen in 1947, is celebrated for its timeless clarity,

Design and Details
The J39’s clean silhouette and thoughtful proportions make it remarkably versatile. Key design features
are both beautiful and purposeful: the organically shaped horizontal stretchers strengthen the frame,
the rear legs are set closer together to reduce collisions at the table, and contrasting wooden discs discreetly
conceal the backrest screws. The papercord seat adds tactile warmth and long-lasting comfort.

Materials
The J39 has a solid wood frame and a veneered backrest. It's available in walnut, oak or beech with various finishes:
oil, lacquer, or black painted (oak).
The seat comes standard in natural papercord. Leather or canvas seats and special treatments for beech,
such as soap treatment or colored lacquer, are optional.
