Chair Model 56 | Niels O. Møller

Model 56 is one of the first dining room chairs with armrests that Niels Otto Møller designed in the series
of "the new modern".
The dining chair in oak or beech has all the hallmarks of Niels Møller's craftsmanship and has been made in Møbelfabrik J.L. Møller
since its design in 1954.
The construction of the frame consists of strong connections; the wooden pegs interlock at each corner of the seat.
This ensures that a cross connection between the chair legs is no longer necessary. Niels Otto Møller however added
them to this model, but placed them higher, which benefits the light and elegant appearance that is accentuated by the straight legs.
The Model 56 has a flat wooden back rest with armrests at a height making it practical to place the chair around the table, even in
small rooms.
Thanks to its ingenious design and organic shape, the chair is very comfortable.
Like most Møller chairs, the seat can be supplied with paper cord or upholstered with a wide variety of fabrics or leather.

In addition to Model 56, N.O. Moller has designed Model 75.
This is the same chair but without armrests, so it can also be used as an armchair. Together at one table they combine very nice.

J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik is a family business with a very high quality standard.
Every day the Danish furniture makers work with original machines and do a lot of manual work.
JLM is not about fast production. Therefore, please take into account a delivery time of about 10 weeks for arm chairs.

Model 56 comes in beech or oak with a soap, oil or lacquer finish.
Smoked or black stained oak is also available.
The seat comes in natural paper cord and is optionally available with black paper cord.
In addition, upholstery with textile from Kvadrat or leather is possible.
