Chair CH88T by Hans Wegner | Carl Hansen

To celebrate the 100th birthday of Hans J. Wegner, Carl Hansen & Son has put its CH88 into production.
This chair, designed in 1955, only existed as a prototype until 2014.

The CH88 is a versatile dining room chair, both in appearance and applicability thanks to the numerous
variants in finish.
Characteristic is the wooden, steam-bended backrest. The slight curves at the ends provide a natural position
for the arms to rest on.
An oval wooden seat is mounted on the steel frame with straight rear legs.
The variation in use of materials combined with a minimalist design creates a light, organic as well as industrial appearance.
Moreover, this chair is stackable, which increases the possibilities of use.

Materials |
The backrest and seat of the CH88T are available in beech and oak with finishes in soap, oil, lacquer
and spray painted in various colours.
The oak variant is also available with white. The painted oak CH88 is only available in black,
where the wood grain remains visible.
The frame is available in stainless steel or painted in black powder coating.
